Cryptographic verification
Verify the ledger
Every gift and every confirmed expense in this ledger is chained together with a cryptographic fingerprint. If any past record were ever quietly altered after being written, the chain would break — and this check would detect it.
What this proves: nothing in the ledger was silently altered after being recorded. What it does not prove: that a person with full database admin access could not have rewritten the entire history at once — stated plainly rather than glossed over.
